Check-Out Policies

Students are allowed to check out books according to the following schedule:

Early Childhood: 1 book to be left at school
Kindergarten: 1 book
1st Grade: 1 book
2nd Grade: 1 or 2 books (teacher discretion)
3rd Grade: 2 books
4th Grade: 2 books
5th Grade: 2 books

Books are due in one week, but they may be renewed unless another student has reserved them.
There are no fines for overdue books, but lost or damaged books must be paid for.

Sponsor-a-Book

Students and their families are encouraged to donate books to the Learning Center in honor of a special event, such as a birthday, the birth of a sibling, a move to a new home, or in recognition of a favorite teacher or staff member.  Books may also be donated for no reason at all!  Students and family members can view the books the Learning Center needs by visiting the Sponsor-a-Book display case across from the Computer Lab.  Once a book is selected, the family pays for it, and a decorative book plate is placed in front of the book, noting the donor and the reason for the donation.  As soon as the book is processed, the child is allowed to be the first person to check out the donated book.  The books come in a variety of subjects, interest levels, reading levels, and prices.

A big thanks to the many families who have sponsored a book in the past twelve years!  Because of you, the children are enjoying an extra 429 books at a value of $4633.47!!
