Board of Education - Board Meetings
Regular Board meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of the month unless otherwise noted. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the Board Room of the District Office. According to Board Policy 2.150, the Committee of the Whole meeting of the Board of Education will be held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office unless otherwise indicated.
The first meeting of the month is a Committee of the Whole meeting whereby the Board discusses proposals and issues brought to it by the Superintendent; public comments are entertained at the start of this meeting and during the discussion of specific agenda items. The second meeting of the month is a business meeting whereby the Board takes formal action on issues previously discussed at Committee of the Whole meetings. Public comments are entertained only at the start of the monthly business meeting. At this business meeting the Board also takes action regarding the payment of bills and the hiring or release of staff.
