Early Entrance Kindergarten or First Grade

Wauconda CUSD118 follows Illinois School Code 105 ILCS 5/26-1, which specifies that children should be five years old by September 1st for kindergarten and six years old by September 1st for first grade. However, Wauconda CUSD118 allows exceptions for children who present with skills in the superior range compared to their peers (per Board Policy 6:135).
