Welcome to the MMS Physical Education Department!

As a department we strive to create a fun, challenging, safe, and positive learning experience for every child. MMS PE encourages team building, cooperation, learning, responsibility, and respect.

Important Information

• PE uniforms and locks are for sale throughout the school year.  Each student needs a uniform for PE and a lock needs to be used to secure valuable belongings in the locker room.  Prices are as follows: $7- Shirt, $10- Shorts, and $5- Lock.

• A parent note may excuse a student from Physical Education up to three days, but missed days need to be made up with the at-home make-up sheet. When injuries or illness extends beyond three days, a doctor’s note is required.

• Any student not participating in class earns no credit for those days.

  • Students should bring the doctor's note to their PE teacher. Physicians should be as specific as possible with instructions if modifications are needed.  If note specifies the student is out of PE, students will not be allowed to return to PE class until the end date of the note.

  • Students will be given an alternate assessment to complete while they are out of class. It is the student's responsibility to complete this assignment and turn it back in to their PE teacher.

  • DAILY PRACTICE- 70%

  • ASSESSMENT- 15%

  • APPLICATION- 15%
